Pros:

  • Looks premium and desirable!

  • Great value for money, lengthy equipment list. Hybrid and AWD included!

  • Engine presentation looks amazing. Japanese reliability and precision!

Cons:

  • Too much plastic in the interior.

  • Stellantis and Renault-Nissan offer cheaper crossovers in the same segment.

  • The infotainment is small.

The Mazda CX-60 review! I must say this is one of the biggest developments from Mazda, I say, FINALLY! It looks desirable, and looks as if it could pick a fight with the BMW X3 or Mercedes GLC! I even know someone who replaced her Land Rover Discovery Sport with a Mazda CX-60. It is this good!

For me, its a surprise.

For a very long time, the Mazda brand was dormant in the EU market, they never saw the same popularity as Toyota and Nissan. But the release of the CX-60 has changed everything!

The exterior looks great, front and rear. But the side design looks very bland. The side door handle make a lot of noise when you pull to open the door. To me this was unusual. Then I checked out the engine, and I was VERY impressed with the presentation! It was almost as if I was looking at a premium car! Guaranteed Japanese reliability and precision.

Paired with hybrid and AWD, cannot go wrong!

The interior was a mix. Points earned for looking premium and practicality solutions! But the there was a lot of plastic around the center area. The infotainment screen was small, and the leather interior trim gets slightly in the way when I look at the screen. But the good news is there is a swivel wheel to control the infotainment system!

Not very pink rosy when it comes to the big competition in the segment. Stellantis crossovers like the Peugeot 5008 or DS 7, may not have the similar reliability, but they sell like hot cakes in the EU market, and they are cheaper than the Mazda CX-60. The Renault-Nissan Alliance have also been strong, with the new Renault Espace 2024 and the Nissan X-Trail! Cheaper, good value for money, decent quality, and desirable!

The Skoda Kodiaq offers more family-friendliness with more interior space and practicality.

Lastly, the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V. The Toyota RAV4 is starting to show its age. The Honda CR-V just recently saw a new generation, reliable but not entirely something desirable compared to the Mazda CX-60.
